- Sampling sites : throat, vaginal, wound and skin swabs
- Swabs immediately in direct contact with fluid-filled sponge: the sponge is soaked with 1.0 ml of liquid transport medium that acts like a moisture reservoir
- No dry swab samples : the foam sponge holds enough medium for single or double swabs and its design will not slide or fall out during use
